77th Artillery Association
Organization and Officers

LTC (Ret.) Bob Tagge, 1965-66 B 1/77th FA Battery Commander was re-elected as president of the 77th Artillery Association during Reunion 2007 in Lawton.  Elected to the Board along with Tagge was Mike Maynard, who served with 1/77th FA in Vietnam, and Paul Guetter, who served in 2/77th FA in Vietnam.  Our By-Laws also name the battalion commander of any active element of the 77th Artillery Regiment as ex-officio members of the board.  Currently, that would be LTC Steve Hite, commander of 1-77th FA.  Association Director is our founder, Doc Bosma, who serves voluntarily without compensation.

Our Constitution lists the following purpose and objectives:  The purpose of the Association is to constitute a fraternal, nonprofit corporation to bring together veterans who have served with or who are serving in any unit of the 77th Field Artillery Regiment, any predecessor unit of the 77th Field Artillery Regiment, and any successor units that may be formed from the 77th Field Artillery Regiment, who are dedicated to basic and traditional American principles of love of country, respect for the flag, and law and order.
